DISC Photographer's Best Practices for Print Media
An excellent set of Guidelines for digital photographers can be found at http://www.updig.org. UPDIG (Universal Photographic Digital Image Guidelines) is an ad-hoc industry consortium made up of digital imaging professionals, manufacturers and allied trade groups that are dedicated to promoting worldwide standards in the commercial application of digital imaging. IDEAlliance is one of these allied trade groups. As the UPDIG Guidelines largely reflect a photographer’s perspective and represents guidelines for many image uses beyond print, the DISC Working Group has coordinated its own print-specific recommendations with those from DISC to develop the best practices published here.
DISC Photographer's Best Practices for Print Media focuses on 3 specific areas:
| Color Management for Digital Images | |
| Setup for the Shoot | |
| Preparing and Delivering Images |
